It is largely impossible to use certain functionality on the iPad.
Backspace does NOT delete the character - nor can I highlight the character(s) and then delete them.
Pressing buttons such as enter will add the character. For example, just now, I was attempting to add a button to swap some values for convenience's sake, but it is impossible to script. When typing in some text field, such as in the setting pane, certain characters will often appear when typing.

This bug has occurred on the iPad classic app and on multiple browsers, and on my PC in the browser. So resetting reassures me that my apps will not corrupt or have whatever is happening to them occur. I think this particular error occurred after some kind of save error, but I cannot reproduce it intentionally.Īdditionally, I feel as though resetting the app helps clear OTHER bugs I have had happen (similar to the previous paragraph - they break stuff and remain broken). However, their related on-screen components were still visible (e.g. I believe at one point in time, whole objects disappeared from the algebra pane (they were NOT in aux objects - trust me, I checked). Note: I may be able to simply reload my save file rather than reset the app, but I have had bugs in the past (I haven't reproduced intentionally) where certain actions that I suspects are related to this bug cause the save file to essentially bug out. However, this sometimes never happens and results in me resetting the app. I often need to click around the screen like a maniac on different things until something fixes it, and I can then edit the cell again. Even after entering other cells, there is no way to correctly edit the broken cell. Hitting ESC (on the apple magic keyboard) does nothing (not sure if it does, anyway). There seems to be more than one cursor on the screen at times in various cells. That is, when I select a cell, entering edit mode for that cell, it appears as though the selection has been taken elsewhere.

It is often difficult or impossible to return to the application's intended behaviour from this state, requiring a full app reset at times. The cursor remains in place where I clicked, hinting that I should be active in the selected cell however when I begin to type, either no action happens or something else, such as typing in a NEW cell. When using the iPad Geogebra classic app, when selecting a cell in the algebra pane, I often lose the ability to edit the cell. However, it has gotten to the point now that it is beyond annoying, and I want to reach out and seek further information as to if this is a known issue, resolution, or temporary workaround. I have had these issues for a long time but never bothered to reach out.
